Abdi İbrahim founded Abdi İbrahim Global Pharm (AİGP) in 2012, after acquiring a 60 percent stake in Global Pharm, one of the leading pharmaceutical producers in Kazakhstan. Standing out as the most modern GMP production facility in Kazakhstan, AİGP commenced operations in late 2015 with an annual production capacity of 24 million units, marking the first overseas production of Abdi İbrahim. With a facility extending over 12,000 square meters of indoor area, AİGP contributes to Abdi İbrahim’s goal of becoming a strong international brand with its extensive portfolio of around 100 products, including mainly diabetes and antiviral products, as well as central nervous system and cardiovascular agents. The headquarters of AİGP is located in Almaty, the financial hub of Kazakhstan, where the company engages in the production and sale of a broad spectrum of pharmaceutical products.

The main goals of AİGP are to support the pharmaceutical industry of Kazakhstan, introduce innovative new medicines in the country, and achieve market leadership in exports to CIS countries by establishing multi-dimensional marketing operations.

AİGP’s portfolio of around 100 products is mainly focused on antibacterial/antiviral medicines, cardiology, dermatology, endocrine and metabolism, gastroenterology, neurology, NSAI and myorelaxant and respiratory agents as well as vitamins & minerals.

Azerbaijan

Since 2004, Abdi İbrahim has been conducting sales and marketing teams assigned to five regions, namely Ganjha, Salian, Barda, Shumgaid and Baku.

Abdi İbrahim’s activities in Azerbaijan are focused on the areas of cardiology, dermatology, neurology and respiratory medicine, and products manufactured in the company’s Istanbul production complex are delivered to patients in Azerbaijan.

Albania

In 2010, Abdi İbrahim commenced its operations in Albania through local distributors and business partners as part of its strategy to grow in the Balkans, and established its own sales and marketing team in the country in 2021. In Albania, Abdi İbrahim offers a portfolio of highly effective and high quality products manufactured in its Istanbul production complex in accordance with international standards.

The portfolio is focused on respiratory, central nervous system medicine, pain management, consumer health, and other specialty areas.

Algeria

Georgia

Abdi İbrahim conducts sales and marketing activities in Georgia with a representation office established in 2007 as well as local sales & marketing teams in two regions, namely Kutaisi and Tbilisi.

Abdi İbrahim’s operations in Georgia are focused on the area of psychiatry, cardiology, neurology and respiratory medicine. All products marketed in Georgia are produced in the Istanbul production complex.

Abdi İbrahim commenced its operations in Iraq in 2011 by establishing its local sales and marketing organization. Abdi İbrahim’s product range in Iraq consists of cardiology, respiratory and central nervous system, OTC and hepatology.

Italy

Saudi Arabia

Abdi İbrahim launched its operations in Saudi Arabia in 2014 through distributors. It has since decided to build on its Saudi Arabia strategy with its own field organization and marketing teams to play a more active role in the domestic market in accordance with its policy of international expansion. Taking into account the bilateral relations between the two countries, Abdi İbrahim began implementing this expansion in 2023, building more comprehensive collaborations and focusing on a broader product portfolio and business model. By 2025, the company expects to increase is product range to 30 molecules and around 70 products, some of which will be manufactured locally while others will be imported from Türkiye. The Saudi Arabia operation of Abdi İbrahim will spearhead Abdi İbrahim’s Gulf Countries Project, and will also play an important role in global markets.

United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Abdi İbrahim launched its operations in the UAE in 2015 through distributors. It has since decided to build on its UAE strategy with its own field organization and marketing teams to play a more active role in the domestic market in accordance with its policy of international expansion. Accordingly, Abdi İbrahim built on its collaborations as well as establishing its own field organization in 2023. By 2025, the company expects to increase is product range to 30 molecules and around 70 products, some of which will be manufactured locally while others will be imported from Türkiye.
